From 2010 to 2013, PYT raised more than $10,000 to support arts institutions across Tampa Bay, including The Florida Orchestra, Tampa Museum of Art, Florida Photographic Museum, Summer Jam, and the Tampa Theatre. This young professionals group gatthered culturally conscious young professionals throughout the Tampa Bay area passionate about supporting the arts, history and culture. A member based organization, PYT worked to cultivate the next generation of cultural-minded community leaders.

Season 6

Our sixth and final season of Philanthropic Young Tampa Bay supported the area’s film community by highlighting local film festivals and raising money for the Tampa Theatre.

We kicked off our film season with an urban pop up movie theatre across the street from Fly Bar. Guests enjoyed cocktails on the roof while watching experimental silent cinema from the 1930s.

Season 5

Our fifth season was organized in support of the theatre arts of Tampa Bay. Each event highlighted a particular theatre company in the area as we raised money to support American Stage theatre. The final event of the season provided free tickets for Bay area young professionals for a special performances of Ibsen’s masterwork A Doll’s House.

Our Urban Oasis series hosted poolside events during the Summer of 2012 in support of Tampa Bay’s underground music scene. Events in this series were presented in partnership with the Tampa Jaycees and raised money to support the eighth annual SummerJam music festival.

October 2012 @ PP+K Space

One of the hottest tickets in town, this collaboration between PYT and the Left Coast Bartenders Guild offererd a full menu of modern southern cocktails paired with locally sourced tastes from the grill. Also featured was music from The Groves, The Black Roses, and ninebullets.net.

Postmodern Cocktail Experience

October 2011 @ The Roosevelt 2.0

A standard setter for pop up cocktail events in Tampa Bay, the Postmodern Cocktail Experience featurwd highlights from Tampa’s experimental music scene paired with molecular gastronomy cocktails served by the much revered and very well dressed Left Coast Bartenders Guild.

PYT Art Multiple by Joe Griffith

A members-only benefit featured a meet and greet with artist Joe Griffith and the unveiling of his design for a special PYT art multiple available to supporters of PYT. His design was a resin cast of an updated version of a nazar amulet, or evil eye, that is meant to ward off bad mojo. Around the center eye is a Latin inscription that
translates ‘Protect This Place From Bad Art’.
